Bilingual Study

Import paired articles in two languages for side-by-side study.

~2 minutes
01

Import your primary article

From the dashboard, click Study an Article and drop your EPUB file (or paste article text). The app detects the article language automatically.

02

Add the paired language

After detection, you'll see a prompt: "Do you also have the Spanish version?" (or English, depending on what you imported first). Drop the second EPUB to pair them.

The app matches paragraphs between both versions. If all paragraphs match, you'll see a green "Paired" confirmation. If some don't match, unpaired paragraphs show only the primary language.

You can skip pairing and add the second language later from your Library.
03

Use the language toggle

In the paragraph workspace, use the EN / ES toggle in the header to switch the paragraph preview between languages. This helps you study the article in both languages and prepare comments in either one.

You can also write your comment in your primary language and add a translation using the + ES button below the comment textarea.

Tips

  • Same article, both languages — for the best pairing, import the same article in both languages (e.g., both from the same Watchtower issue).
  • Library auto-pairs — if you've already imported both versions, browsing either one from the Library will automatically show the bilingual toggle.
  • Comment in any language — your comment language is independent of the article language. Write in whichever language you'll speak in.
